BSG and stuff

If there ever was an episode that killed me... stabbed me in the heart and twisted all around nice and easy, this one would be it. Frak. This episode of BSG made me CRY. And Mary... Oh my gods Mary...
And oh yeah, maybe personal update... Hmm, I had to get a catscan this week because I've had a constant headache and dizzy spells for the past two weeks (I'm lethargic, constantly in pain, and unable to walk in a straight line, and both of my knees have been ripped to shreds because I've fallen over twice in my lack of balance; I've actually rolled head over heels sitting down ^_^") , so yep, it has not been a good week per se, but there have been major highlights. I survived my Latin recitation, and I got my last PSci midterm back. Not exactly sure what it means though since we didn't get the stats for this exam (--)".

And yeah, she won me over and back there with her decision to ride out with the raptor, and the poor girl and the poor Six both die and then the poor Eight... yeah, a lot of deaths... again. (^_^)"""
So yeah, I need to re-watch this episode... I didn't completely get the entire prophecy through the pounding in my head, but from what I heard... Doesn't the first part sound more like Roslin? Before the Hybrid actually mentions Kara by name?
And okay, finally, Roslin. Uhmm, Mary was... is... just-- perfection? Is that a good word? She had me going down a steep spiral from the first scene onwards. Frak... Seeing her bald, and then all the scenes with just the scarf and her scenes with Emily? Her talking about her mother? And then seeing her mother, and telling her that she's not ready to die yet? That she's not ready to leave for the "comfort" (and that's what this seemed like) of death just yet? Frak. I was bawling. Because this entire cancer thing just touches me so personally, and you can tell it touches Mary as well, and just... It was an amazing performance by both patients, both actresses (and that opening scene with Tory was just killer too), and just... I mean, I think one of my favorite moments following this was the close-up of her bracelet. Obviously, it means a lot to Mary, and it seemed like, they were acknowledging the reality of the emotions Mary was exhibiting... just WOW. And finally, of course, that ending AR scene... Uhmm... what needs to be said? That amount of comfort? The CLOSENESS and personal-ness and just overall AMAZING-ness of that scene just speaks for itself.
