Hiya everyone, still sorting things through, but I came across an interesting music video earlier today by Ian Axel - for the New Year. :)

And that led me to this:

Which, as he placed in the description, "For the past 2 weeks, 60 pianos were installed all over the streets of NYC...in the parks, on the streets, in the plazas. The project, developed by British artist Luke Jerram, is called "Play Me, I'm Yours" and was presented in NYC by Sing for Hope. Living in this city can make you feel pretty isolated and small. But imagine walking down the street with thousands of people rushing by, cars honking, pigeons almost flying into you, and seeing a group of people gathered around a piano connecting with one another. And then walking a few more blocks and seeing the same thing again in a totally different environment. And then seeing it again, and again, a stage where the whole world is listening and willing to share. It was a brilliant experience, and I'm very grateful to have been a part of it. I hope you enjoy the video!"

The idea, of which, was developed by this person:

Luke Jerram )

Just, my general reaction - OHMYGOSHSOAWESOME!!! :)

That said, has anyone on my f-list watched "The Sing-Off"? Because I mainlined the second season relatively recently and can't stop thinking about it. XD

EDIT: Of note, these events were held in the summer (of course). Precipitation (and actually, most environmental factors) don't mix well with pianos sadly. :) Anyway, music to all! And to all a good night! *hugs*
