Oh, my Gods, how beautiful this is! What a wonderful weaving of myth into BSG (and wonderful use of the theme of weaving). I could feel Bill's happiness at laying his shield and sword down, and his bitter resignation at being forced, coerced, and manipulated by his love for his family to take them up again. The parts of myth you chose felt like the exact best parts to move the story along and put in all in a bigger context. They asked from her, and she gave. That sums up so much about her, from the mini-series on. And hope for a better future at the end...perfect.

And yay for the inclusion of Billy and his smile!
