But sometimes, baseball fans can be as bad if not worse than fandom trolls...

And I'm not saying everyone - just some... (also, warning, I AM A YANKEES FAN, and seeing Derek Jeter in the twelfth inning broke my heart, so this may not be the most readable post because I am clearly biased and my feelings are being difficult and it is also really late) )

Anyway, I apologize to my f-list. None of whom are the actual targets of this bit of... rambling-rant. I just had to vent my feelings. ><"

Anyway, how are all of you? I haven't posted in more than a month... Wow. WHERE has the time gone? ><" Anyway, I'm being squashed by Midterm papers and such at the moment. Hopefully I'll survive. ;) I hope you are all doing well! ♥

- I've realized recently that of the many "favorites" I may have (because I have a tendency to easily like things for different reasons), I love the art and beauty of the smile. I love smiling at people and hoping for a smile back, hoping that I've somehow made someone lighter. (Does this make me strange?) I'll be the possible girl skipping down a road grinning at nothing and everything. Really, such a simple thing sometimes. A smile, a giggle, a laugh... I think it's one of the brightest feelings in the world, even when we're at rock bottom. :3

- Quote of the night (because it's one of the things I'm reading right now):

"The woman laughed again, but it was a laugh like the sudden knowledge of your own death, and many of the people who lay on the ground whimpered or cried out." - Robin McKinley, Spindle's End

- The Tony's are an AWESOME awards show.

- Has anyone read The Heart of Power: Heath and Politics in the Oval Office by David Blumenthal and James A. Morone? Reeeeally interesting. (Senator James Hamilton Lewis... I am laughing at this entire part. Really.)

- I love... lots of things right now. I love life. I love my family, and I love my friends. I think I need to remind myself of that. :) *hugs everyone*

- Though gmail apparently hates me at times. :3 Or maybe it's feuding with my computer?

Now, if I can only focus on things I need to get done. LOL! Good night (or day or somewhere in between).

EDIT because I have just noticed the ironies between my first and second point. XD

For now...

Hi everyone! I hope you are all well. *BIG HUGS*

The sky certainly has been beautiful the past few days. It reminds of the sort of sky that a person can see in the Romanticist paintings where the blue of the sky and the shape of the clouds... You can almost imagine the gaps of blue between the clouds are gates that you can fall straight through into somewhere else - or see, the next day, these massive columns just... melting into layers of cloud so thin that they make the blue sky grey. Right there on the horizon, a mass that takes you to think straight there to the edge and you can wonder just how far it goes.

It's a good thing that the sky belongs to everyone and no one. It is actually quite a comforting thought.
